Family cycling

We propose you an alternative to the typical one week vacation in an “all inclusive” hotel. Forget about organizing and planning your vacations in unknown cities, queues to access monuments, heat, etc.

Share our love of cycling with the whole family. We have a perfect route for it: The Green Way of the Sierra.

With an average gradient of 3%, it is an old railroad converted to Vía Verde. It has stops and restaurants along the route, and can even arrange accommodation.

Its wide itinerary (36 Km or 72 Km) makes it possible to choose between different sections, adapting to your needs and that of your family.

Kids love their bikes and they love to ride them! Planning a family holiday can be very stressful, well the answer is easy.
With the kids is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with the whole family  enjoying the fresh air, beautiful scenery and picturesque white villages of Andalucia.
It’s an adventure that the family will enjoy together. From 6 to 80 years old we have had family members cycling independently, with 8 month old toddlers in baby seats being our youngest participants.
Even if you are an experienced rider, cycling with your family has its own rewards. The knowledge that your kids will be getting fit, interacting with nature, building their confidence and, most importantly having fun, it’s extremely satisfying.
Whether your family is new to cycling or experienced cyclists we will tailor make a holiday that keeps everyone happy. From gentle paced leisure riding to more challenging road cycling or having a blast off road mountain biking we can arrange a family holiday to suits you.
We only beg you:

Day 1: Flight to Málaga, Seville or Jerez Airports. Transfer service to Algodonales and guided tour through the village.

Day 2: After a family breakfast at a typical bar, we will go to Coripe Station where you’ll have the chance to rent tandems, bycicles for 4 to 6 persons… In the nearby area you can enjoy El Chaparro de la Vega, an old-age holm oak surrounded by a chapel and a picnic area. And there is a river beach in Toleta! The Green Route area is a perfect place to enjoy a very pleasant family day

Day 3: After breakfast, our suggestion is Ardales, a lovely white village. Every year a Tapas Fair is held there. A chance to try the tapas that are awarded the main prizes!

However, our best suggestion is to cycle along the path leading to the world-famous Caminito del Rey (“King’s little path”). And if you feel like crossing to the other side, we will be waiting for you there, at El Chorro area. If you wish to cross the Caminito del Rey, please tell us in advance, as ticket reservation is mandatory. Ticket price is not included in our offer.

Day 4: We are sure that your family will love to enjoy part of the Ruta de los Bandoleros (The Bandits’ route). After breakfast, we will take you to the Venta de la Leche. From there, we will reach Setenil de las Bodegas, an amazing troglodyte white village, and cycle along a stretch of the Ruta de los Bandoleros. After returning to Setenil and the Venta de la Leche, you will have the chance to know the Roman ruins of Acinipo and its gorgeous Roman theatre.

We will cross forests full of pine tres, blackpoplars, eucalyptuses and beautiful ladscapes. Our route wiil end by the Guadalete river. This route is somewhat harder as it crosses some of the historical ladmarks of the French invason.

Day 5: A day off to discover the historic town of Ronda with its world-famous attractions: the breathtaking Tagus gorge, the Bullring, the Arabic baths, the city walls…

Day 6: Breakfast in Algodonales. Destination: a circular route along the Guadalete right riverside, past Pasada del Moral and fairytale Zahara de la Sierra and its breathtaking castle. Lunch time in Zahara de la Sierra. Back to Algodonales along the Guadalete left riverside.

Day 7: We have several options for your last day with us: 1) a chance to discover Olvera, a dazzling white village with a superb castle and narrow winding streets; 2) cycling along an easy stretch of the Camino de Santiago; 3) watch paragliders and hang-gliders as the take off from the top of El Mogote mountain while you enjoy the stunning views… A broad range of possibilities for your last day with us!

Day 8: Time to pack before we pick you up for your flight back home.
